Porretta Terme

Between Nature and Culture: the territory of Porretta Terme

Helvetia SPA & Beauty is in the centre of Porretta Terme, a distinctive town hugging the Reno river where it meets the Rio Maggiore river, surrounded by the Tuscan Emilian Apennine’s green hills and mountains.

In the centre of the town you should spare a merited visit to the church of St. Maria Maddalena dating from 1696.

In the nestling sburbs at Capugnano stands the church of San Michele mentioned on record since the Twelth century.

Castelluccio is one of the well-known and suggestive small villages around Porretta.

Just 6 kms there is the ‘600 Madanna del Faggio sanctuary immersed in the beech woods and surrounded by beautiful porticos.

The Apennnine is a territory here to discover: you can follow peaceful trails, that start from the town’s center for a relaxing walk or a full day trekking tour in the two big natural reserves of Corno alla Scale and the lakes of Suviana and Brasimone.

Finally, there are the cities of art close on hand to visit, Bologna, Pistoia, Lucca and Florence.
