Regional Park of the Lakes of Suviana and Brasimone

The Regional Park of the Lakes of Suviana and Brasimone (also known as the Lakes Park) covers an area of 3,833 hectares in the Municipalities of Camugnano, Castel di Casio and Castiglione dei Pepoli in the province of Bologna, in the central part of the Bolognese Apennines, with an altitude ranging from 468 to 1,283 meters above sea level.

The park stands out for its location, extending over two large artificial basins, the beautiful lakes of Suviana and Brasimone, that date back to the last century.
The lakes are equipped to provide the possibility of rowing and windsurfing, thus exerting a strong appeal during the summer. Not to be overlooked is the historical importance of the park: in fact, the references of the Middle Ages are clearly visible in these areas, leaving traces in the villages such as Bargi, Baigno, Badi and Stagno.
